Many universities now ask first-year students to keep a short learning journal. Writing a few lines after each class helps students notice what they understood and what they still need to review.

Common questions

Is the PTE mock test really free?

Yes. Your first full mock and its score report are free. You sign up with your email, and you don't need a card. You get one free mock per account, for PTE or IELTS. Pro opens all 38 PTE mock tests and adds written feedback on every answer.

How close is a mock score to my real PTE score?

It's an estimate, not an official Pearson score. Each question counts towards your scores with Pearson's published weights. Reading and listening follow Pearson's marking rules, including partial credit and negative marking. Our engine scores speaking and writing. A question you skip scores zero.

Can I retake the same PTE mock test?

Yes, with Pro. A mock has the same questions each time, so a retake shows if your score has moved. Your free mock can be taken once. With 38 mocks, you can also take a new one each time.

How long is the PTE mock test?

About 2 hours and 10 minutes, in three parts. The real test takes 2 hours 10 minutes to about 2 and a half hours with no break, so take all three parts together if you can.

Should I take a full mock or practise one question type?

Both. A full mock shows your score and the question types that cost you marks. Practise those types ten questions at a time, with each answer marked. Then take another mock to see if your score has moved.
