Common questions

Is this IELTS mock test free?

Yes. Your first full mock and all its bands are free. You sign up with your email or Google account, and you don't need a card. You get one free mock per account, for IELTS or PTE. Pro adds written feedback on your writing and speaking, and more full mocks.

How long is the IELTS mock test?

2 hours 45 minutes, the same as the real test. Listening takes about 30 minutes, reading 60 and writing 60. Speaking takes 11 to 14 minutes on test day, and the mock gives you 15. You can stop between parts and come back later.

Is it the same as IELTS on computer?

Yes, for listening, reading and writing. You get highlighting, notes, review flags, the question numbers at the bottom of the screen and a live word count in writing. On test day you take speaking face to face with an examiner. Here you record your answers.

Are the writing and speaking bands accurate?

They're estimates, not official bands. Our engine marks each criterion against the public IELTS band descriptors. Use the bands to see which skill to work on next.

Can I take the mock test again?

Yes, with Pro. Every full mock after your first one is part of Pro, including this one again. If you took the free PTE mock, this one is part of Pro too. You can still take the test for each skill, and listening and reading marking is always free.
