Read the text. Then write an email in response. You should write between 80 and 120 words.

You booked a meeting room at a community centre for next Saturday, but your group needs to change the day. Write to the centre's manager.

  • Explain why you need to change.
  • Ask for the room on Sunday.
  • Ask about the cost.

Dear Ms Taylor,

I'm writing about the meeting room I booked for next Saturday, 14 June. Our team leader can't come that day, so we need to change the date.

Could we have the same room on Sunday, 15 June, from 10 am to 12 pm? We'll still be eight people, and we won't need the projector.

Please let me know if the price is the same for a Sunday. If there's an extra fee, I'm happy to pay it when I arrive.

Common questions

Is the PTE Core mock test free?

Yes. Your first full mock and its score report are free. You sign up with your email, and you don't need a card. You get one free mock per account, for PTE Core, PTE Academic or IELTS. Pro opens all 11 PTE Core mock tests and adds written feedback on every answer.

Does the mock test show my CLB level?

Yes. The report shows your overall score and a score for each skill, from 10 to 90. Beside each skill score is the CLB level it meets. There's no CLB level for the overall score, because Canada doesn't use it.

How close is a mock score to my real PTE Core score?

It's an estimate, not an official Pearson score. Reading and listening follow Pearson's marking rules, including partial credit and negative marking. Our engine scores speaking and writing with PTE Core's rules. A question you skip scores zero.

How long is the PTE Core mock test?

About 1 hour and 55 minutes, in three parts. The real test takes up to 2 hours in one sitting, so take all three parts together if you can.

Can I retake the same PTE Core mock test?

Yes, with Pro. A mock has the same questions each time, so a retake shows if your score has moved. Your free mock can be taken once. With 11 mocks, you can also take a new one each time.
