Common questions
Is this IELTS listening test free?
Yes. The full test, your band and the answer review are free. You sign in with your email or Google account first, so your result is saved. No card.
Is it like the computer-delivered test?
Yes. The audio plays once, the questions look as they do on the real screen, and you can change answers until time runs out. The papers come from real past IELTS Academic tests.
How is my listening band worked out?
Your correct answers out of 40 turn into a band with the IELTS conversion table. For example, 23 correct is Band 6.0, 30 is Band 7.0 and 35 is Band 8.0.
Will I get a different paper next time?
Usually, yes. Each time you take it, you get a paper chosen at random from over 190 past listening papers.
