常见问题

Are templates allowed in PTE Re-tell Lecture?

Pearson tells you not to use memorised answers or templated sentences, and an answer learned by heart can score 0 for content. The cheat sheet gives you sentence plans with gaps, and you fill every gap from your notes. Learn the shape, not the sentences, and every answer you give is about the question in front of you.

What should I write while I listen?

The topic first, in two or three words. Then names, numbers and nouns, not sentences, with arrows to show how they link. Keep writing to the end: the speaker's main point is often there.

What if I missed part of the lecture?

Say the topic and the two things you are sure of, with the key words from your notes. That is better than a list of words, and much better than a line that fits any lecture.

How long should I speak in Re-tell Lecture?

Close to 40 seconds. If you stop for 3 seconds, the recording ends.
