常见问题

Is this IELTS speaking test free?

Yes. The full test is free, and so is your first score from our engine, with a band for each of the four criteria. After that, scoring is part of Pro. You start with your email or Google account, and you don't need a card.

How long is the IELTS speaking test?

11 to 14 minutes, in three parts. Part 1 takes 4 to 5 minutes. Part 2 takes 3 to 4 minutes, with 1 minute to prepare. Part 3 takes 4 to 5 minutes.

How is IELTS speaking marked?

On test day an examiner marks you on four criteria: fluency and coherence, lexical resource, grammatical range and accuracy, and pronunciation. Each one counts the same, and your speaking band is the average of the four. Here our engine gives you a band for each one as an estimate, not an official band.

Is it like the real IELTS speaking test?

The three parts and their order follow the real test, and Part 2 gives you 1 minute to prepare and up to 2 minutes to talk. On test day you talk to an examiner face to face. Here you read or listen to each question and record your answer.

Will I get new questions next time?

Yes. The questions are picked when you start, so each test is a new set.

Can I see a Band 8 answer?

Yes, with Pro. Our engine will rewrite your answer to get Band 8, so you can compare it with what you said.
